Welcoming GUA Africa: A new chapter in purpose-led partnership
At Gandys, our journey has always been rooted in resilience, compassion, and the belief that every step we take can help pave the way for a brighter future. Today, we’re proud to announce our new charity partner - GUA Africa, an organisation whose mission echoes our own in powerful, transformative ways.
Founded by Emmanuel Jal, a former child soldier turned global peace ambassador and recording artist, GUA Africa is dedicated to providing education and opportunity to children affected by war and displacement. Their work is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of hope, values that have guided Gandys charitable mission since day one.
This partnership is more than a collaboration; it’s a convergence of purpose.
Together, we aim to support the running and development of safe learning environments, amplifying the voices of both children and young adults who deserve the chance to shape their own futures. This shared commitment is beautifully echoed by Camilla Santiapillai, Development Manager at GUA Africa:
"We are thrilled to be partnering with GANDYS. Their support will provide a sustainable and stable foundation for our core programming ensuring life changing education is delivered in GUA Africa's Gatwitch Hub, Kakuma Refugee Camp.
The Hub provides a safe space for the local community, consisting of a purpose built library, garden and two classrooms. Young people and adults are able to participate in classes, from dance to maths, pursuing their passions whilst developing their skills through leadership, health and most recently, business courses. We extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to GANDYS, for sharing our vision and walking together in our shared purpose. "
