The Real Cost of Living

DON'T JUST EXIST

THE REAL COST OF LIVING.

Over the last couple of years we have adapted to a new way of life, only to come out the other side to be presented with a new set of challenges that face us all.

From an early age we learnt that tomorrow isn’t always guaranteed, and to make the most of every moment. Even though this was our biggest lesson, it was not the one that our parents had intended when they sold up their business and family home to show us a completely different way of life. Tired of the daily grind, they wanted to give us a different perspective of life and to make us grateful for the days we have by walking in the shoes of others less fortunate than ourselves and recognising what was really important to us.

Whilst caught up in our first world problems of ‘adjusting to a tighter budget’, working extra hours to ‘make ends meet’, or missing out on some of the things that made our day that bit more enjoyable, we can’t help but find ourselves asking ‘If the journey is so taxing on your health and happiness, then is it really worth the destination?’ So many of us work hard for the things we aspire to be or own, a bigger house, a better car, a nicer wardrobe. But if the cost of this is to work 60 hr weeks, and miss out on the things we really love, then is it worth it? Or are we ‘just existing’?

This is why Gandys was created, to give back to the children who are facing hardships that we can only imagine, to spend our days giving back and doing what really counts. We thank all of our pioneers who have supported us and spread the Gandys story. 23,000 children have a much brighter future thanks to you.

If you are, or can see somebody who is struggling please watch or share this video with them to let them know that there are brighter days ahead, and to never give up in the face of adversity.
