Don't Just Exist | Gandys

This isn't just another corporate brand story, this is something that comes from a place of true meaning.

Inspired by the loss of their parents in the 2004 Tsunami, Rob & Paul founded Gandys from their bedroom in London with the aim of building schools around the world in a touching tribute to their parents.

After leaving school at an early age, the brothers were given a unique upbringing volunteering and travelling around the world. This is where their passion for travel and trying to make a positive impact was ignited.

2004

Following the 2004 Tsunami Rob, Paul and their siblings were fortunate to return to the UK where friends and family helped and supported them after the loss of their parents. Having been tragically orphaned at the age of 17 and 15, the brothers felt passionate about making a significant difference in the world and repaying the kindness that was bestowed upon them during difficult times.

2012

The Gandys brothers established the Gandys foundation to aid underprivileged children with education, medication and nutrition. These are all things that we can often take for granted and after many years of travelling in third world countries, the brothers know the importance of helping these children with education.

2014

We opened our first Kids Campus in 2014 to mark the tenth anniversary of the tsunami. Since then, we have expanded the children's home to accommodate more children and members of the community.

2017

Following the positive impact of the kids campus in Sri Lanka, we opened our Malawi campus in 2017. Each year, we work even harder to keep building across the world and with your ongoing support they won’t be stopped. “There is no better feeling than laying the first foundations of a new kids campus” - Rob & Paul

How We Help

The Gandys Kids Campuses essentially provides a common ground of commun ties to gather together at a functional facility. The Gandys facility encompasses a broad range of focus areas, including academic support, woodwork lessons and various sports activities. This facility not only provides important facets of youth development in the community, but ensures that children are safely occupied in after school sessions and parents also have a chance to learn English and Maths. At our kids’ campus, parents feel happy that their children are safe and away from the dangers of the streets while they are able to work and provide for their family. Therefore the Gandys facilities not only improves the lives of the children, but of the parents and therefore the community too.

Education

As well as providing lessons, academic support & sport, we also provide our kids with vocational skills so they can support themselves as adults.

Medication

The physical and mental wellbeing of those supported by our campuses is very important to us. We ensure kids and their families are provided with medication, vaccinations and access to medical professionals and therapists.

Nutrition

So far we have provided nearly 700,000 meals at our kids campuses. We have also provide food packages to the neighbouring communities struggling due to Covid-19.

Rob & Pauls' Vision

Our vision is to open as many Kids Campuses as possible and they devote themselves to helping fellow orphans and deprived children around the world. Ultimately, the kid’s campus’ were created as platform for the brothers to combine their passion for travelling and volunteering and to use fashion as a force for good. Instilled in the foundation of this initiative is their determination to continue their parents’ values and visions to create a legacy that has a generational impact of the world.
